Weaver Equine Rawhide Oxbow Stirrups

Jones Boys Saddlery & Western Wear

Materials & Construction: These stirrups are typically shaped from solid, thick hickory wood or precision-molded polymer. They are wrapped in rugged, bleached, or natural rawhide to seal out the elements and ensure long-lasting performance.
Design: The classic oxbow shape has a narrow, rounded bottom that encourages riders to sit with their weight on the arch of the foot rather than the ball. This promotes a deeper heel position, improved balance, and a secure seat.
Treads & Lacing: They often come equipped with comfortable leather treads (such as burgundy latigo or natural strap leather) and are securely bound with rawhide or Indian tan lacing.
Dimensions: Standard oxbows generally feature a 3-inch neck, a 1-inch to 1.5-inch tread, and measure roughly 5 inches in width and height.
